Premium threaded connection
The patented seal design ensures stable performance under any combined loads.
High compressive strength is achieved with an optimised buttress thread and a reduced gap between stabbing flanks on the nipple and coupling thread. ChelPipe Prime connections outperform TOP VAM and JFE BEAR competitors in terms of permissible loads.
Easy and fast make-up thanks to a strong coarse-pitch thread and a steep taper angle for deep stabbing; a high maximum make-up torque.
Pipes with special properties
ChelPipe Group provides a wide range of tubing and casing pipes with special properties for applications under extreme conditions such as low temperatures or corrosive environments.
Cold-resistant (low temperature, LT) pipes
Developed for use in oil and gas fields of Siberia, the Russian Far North and Arctic regions, pipes are manufactured from metals with high ductility and impact toughness at low temperatures. Metals are tested using Charpy impact test at -60°C with measurements of the share of ductile fracture in the sample fracture. LT is an additional indication of cold-resistant steel grades.
Sour gas resistant pipes (S/SS)
Developed for oil and gas operations in sour environments, pipes are manufactured from metals resistant to sulfiede stress cracking (SSC) proven by NACE TM0177 tests. The threshold stress intensity factor for metal tests is selected depending on H2S partial pressure.
CO2/H2S resistant pipes (C/CS)
Developed for oil and gas operations in CO2/H2S environments, pipes are manufactured from metals that are resistant not only to H2S, but also to CO2/H2S corrosion, local or general, proven by tests in CO2 environments.

The design of the nipple nozzle ensures high radial stiffness guaranteeing tightness when extreme tension is present (even in the event of unlocking) and high pipe body yield strength.
