ChelPipe Group pursues a balanced and responsible social policy, and this is one of our top priorities. Targeted social programmes are ongoing.
Upgrade of production facilities
ChelPipe Group was the first business globally to show that metallurgy can be white not only in terms of production processes, but also environmentally. The company's new Vysota 239 and Iron Ozone 32 plants boast state-of-the-art environmental solutions in line with global environmental standards.
The first City of Leaders members were a group of 50 students and graduates of The Future of White Metallurgy corporate training programme. The establishment of the social organisation was a milestone in ChelPipe Group’s and local environmental activists’ joint efforts to preserve the natural beauty of the Urals.
Preserving the beauty of nature
In 2018, volunteers took part in a number of initiatives: the restoration of the Rotunda in Pervouralsk, planting oak trees in Danilov Park, plogging, a city-wide environment-focused jogging exercise, installation of used battery gathering points, clean-up of the forest area near the Bodrost ski track, and green bike ride, which was the largest-scale event organised by the City of Leaders social movement.

About 70 children study at the children's singing school. Experienced teachers, directors, ballet masters and musicians give students comprehensive training in academic singing, acting, choreography, and the art of stage speech. Students have the opportunity to share the stage with professional actors.
In the singing and music school 65 talented children aged between 6 and 16 from all over the Chelyabinsk region are taught under the guidance of the honored artist of Russia Boris Kaplun. Here they receive training in academic vocals, acting, choreography as well as speech coaching. Thanks to the financial support of ChelPipe, all the classes are free of charge for the students.
The first large scale project of the school was the production of a Look! I'm Flying! family musical. It premiered in December 2017 at the Tender Snow Festival marking the 15th Anniversary of ChelPipe Group. At the 2018 Tender Snow Festival the gifted kids presented the Cat's House opera. All the roles in it were played by students of the school with no professional actors taking part.
